I earned my master’s degree in educational leadership and higher education in 2019, I eventually would like to be able to apply my expertise and work with non profits and colleges/universities. My specialty was voting engagement, leading up to the 2020 presidential election I helmed the first non partisan voting engagement coalition at Susquehanna University. Within that charge, my primary objectives were community partnerships with local non-profits organizations, dismantling structural barriers that inhibit students from voting, education on both How and Why to vote (in-person and by mail), and lastly curriculum development and training of my volunteers. These are my strengths and ambitions. Eventually I would like to do some of those wonderful things again, but as for right now, the job search has not been kind to me, and I am looking for remote based work pretty desperately. I am 28 years old and live with an invisible disability. I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was just 13 and my chronic illness has taken a turn due to job related stress, and then the pandemic. I would love to put my skills back in service to a non-profit owned and operated by and for people of color and marginalized people in general! I signed up for Runner early, contacted my Runners regularly and invested in Runner ever since I heard Arlan speak at a conference several years ago and read her book. I care deeply about human rights issues, particularly voting, disabilities, developing anti-racist practices for institutions, and finally empowering and educating our youth. I hope that Runner can help to match me with someone who will value my skills and hard work. Thank you so much.
